On March 18, 2024, Jensen Huang launches a new initiative to build new and advanced features of AI in collaboration with other companies.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang intends to bring about a new era of enterprise AI deployment that is simpler and more broadly applicable than ever before with the company’s announcement of AI Enterprise 5.0 and NVIDIA Inference Micro-services at the GTC conference.
According to Huang, “Programming is not going to be essential for you to be a successful person.” Huang followed up with, “But if somebody wants to learn to do so, please do because we’re hiring programmers.”
Jensen Huang is an American businessman and electrical engineer from the United States who serves as NVIDIA’s Co-Founder, President, and CEO.
Huang is the 17th richest person on Earth with a net worth of US $81.7 billion as of March 8, 2024, according to Forbes.
Huang, along with Chris Malachowsky and Curtis Priem, co-founded NVIDIA in 1993 when he was thirty years old. He later rose to the position of President and CEO.
NVIDIA is a software and fabless company that creates and provides system-on-a-chip (SoC) for mobile computing and the automotive industry, graphics processing units (GPUs), and application programming interfaces (APIs) for data science and high-performance computing.
Additionally, NVIDIA is a leading provider of software and hardware for artificial intelligence (AI).
NVIDIA AI Enterprise 5.0 contains NIMs, CUDA-X microservices for a wide variety of GPU-accelerated AI use cases, AI Workbench – a developer toolkit, Support for Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Expanded support for new NVIDIA GPUs, networking hardware and virtualization software.
Cisco, Dell Technologies, HP, HPE, Lenovo, Supermicro, and other vendors offer AI Enterprise 5.0 for purchase.
During the NVIDIA keynote, the company released its new AI chip ‘Blackwell’, which is named after David Blackwell and key partnerships were disclosed which are available as of March 18, including:
- NVIDIA’s full-stack AI platform will be available on Oracle’s Enterprise AI.
- NVIDIA DGX Cloud with Blackwell security and GPU-based Amazon EC2 instances powered by NVIDIA Grace Blackwell will be accessible via AWS.
- NVIDIA will speed up Google Cloud by bringing the NVIDIA DGX Cloud service and the NVIDIA Grace Blackwell AI computing platform to Google Cloud. Furthermore, the DGX Cloud platform, which is powered by the NVIDIA H100, is generally available on Google Cloud.
- On Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, NVIDIA DGX Cloud, OCI Supercluster, and OCI Compute will all use the NVIDIA Grace Blackwell. Combined Oracle-NVIDIA sovereign AI services are accessible.
- To speed up Azure, Microsoft will use the NVIDIA Grace Blackwell Superchip. In 2024 its availability is anticipated to be later.
- Dell will develop Dell AI Factory, an end-to-end AI enterprise solution, utilizing NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure and software suite. Dell AI Factory will be accessible through traditional channels and Dell APEX.
- SAP plans to upgrade its Joule copilot with NVIDIA retrieval-augmented generation capabilities. SAP will also make use of other joint services and NVIDIA NIMs.
In February 2024, it was reported that NVIDIA was the “hot employer” in Silicon Valley.
